Pinckney Brown Chambers was a member of the Davidson College class of 1840. He was a captain in Company C, 46th Regiment, N.C.T. and farmed in Statesville, North Carolina.

The collection consists of a letter from Chambers to John M. Sample (1843) describing the Caldwell Institute in Greensboro, NC.
